Never had an issue with the food one of the better food spots in town. But the wait some days is crazy. Tried to get delivery the first time today was quoted 40 mins. Called after an hour was told it was out for delivery. Waited another 30 minutes called to cancel since the food we ordered would have been soggy sitting in a vehicle that long. When we called didn’t get an apology or anything just got more excuses and attitude - the owner did reach out and apologize for the extremely late food and gave us a 10 coupon.

After traveling for days in our over-packed little car, Boondocks Grill was the perfect place to decompress. The service was very friendly, every table was welcoming and the food was cooked to perfection. The bill surprised us to be a lot less than we expected too. Thank you for a great meal and a chance to unwind for a while.

Always good food. Had a wide variety from the menu. Pizza is extra good. Dated decor but service is good. What more can you ask from a small town eatery?

I highly recommend you check out Boondocks Grill. My first impression their Burger was great, the second, fantastic. I wish we had one in New Westminster BC Food for every taste bud and diet need Hot Turkey sandwich is made with the real thing Staff are wonderful Prices resemble Thanks from BC

Great food, excellent services, reasonable price! Definitely a gem in High Prairie. Try the lasagna or steak or potato skins. The cheesecake was the only letdown. I think it was a jello cheesecake.

I am from Calgary and was staying in High Prairie doing work. I was driving by the Boondocks and decided to stop in and a worker and I wanted something to eat. I was eagerly welcomed by Cynara and we got seated. Drinks and food orders were quickly taken. Must admit the daily special looked tempting but went for my go to favourite which they offered. Cynara brought our food out hot and ready to smash down. So good. But why I am posting is the customer service experience. Above and beyond. This young lady was attentive and ensuring we received a wonderful meal experience. And she was funny and listened to our bad jokes. But I will say this lady is exceptional and made our night. Bravo. Go to Boondocks and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Cynara you will truly have an exceptional dining experience. Enjoy.

Highly recommended... Family Friendly!! Our family of 4 stopped in for lunch on our way East and we were pleasantly surprised by our meal! We were looking for something that would fill our stomachs and not drain our pockets. This restaurant did just that! Our kids ordered the Kiddie Burger and they were comparable in size to my husband's Bacon Mozza Burger! The fries were thick, home fries style, deep fried but not greasy. I had a Greek Salad with grilled chicken and it was one of the best I've had in a long time. The portion to price ratio was fantastic! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the minimal Gluten Free options. That being said, they do have their GF options marked in the menu, there is a GF pizza option that the waitress mentioned when I asked, that wasn't in the menu. They're definitely trying with is so appreciated. The time it tool from ordering to table was under 20mins, which is pretty good for 4 meals. If you're looking for a quick bite that won't require a loan this is the stop to make in High Prairie!! Thank you for such a pleasant dining experience!
